With fixed legs the lower shelf is mounted on top of the horizontal supports of the legs. With adjustable legs shelf can be mounted either on top of the horizontal supports or on brackets fixed to the height adjustment holes on legs
The lower shelf for Workshop bench simply hangs on the horizontal bars and gives more space above the workstation. Lower shelf includes a back stop.
